St. George's Church (Episcopal) was built in 1878, after receiving an Easter Offering of Mr. Alan A. Curtis, Superintendent of the Manhattan Mine in the spring of 1877. Others also contributed generously and the Church was built at a total cost including furnishings for about $15,500. MSDCF was successful in spearheading a fundraiser in 2019 for needed repairs, which included a rear retaining wall.
